Run your tournament from weigh-ins to results

This page covers the event-day order and the screen for each part. You can prepare brackets before the day begins, then adjust them after weigh-ins.

The left-hand menu inside your event is already in this order: Weigh-ins, Match Publishing, Mat Control Center, Tournament Progress. Work down it.

1. Weigh in and clear no-shows

Weigh-ins settle who is actually competing. You may prepare provisional brackets beforehand. Automatic grouping can generate from registered weights; fixed weight-class brackets use the wrestlers’ assigned classes. After weigh-ins, open Roster and filter Not Weighed In. Confirm which wrestlers did not arrive, then select one or all of the filtered wrestlers. Choose Actions → Scratch wrestlers, select No-show — did not arrive, and leave Also remove from brackets selected. This keeps their event records while clearing their bracket spots. The bulk action skips wrestlers with started or completed bouts; review those cases individually.

Check the action’s results and review any offered bracket downsizing. Build brackets that become out of date, and review published matches before the mats use an updated schedule.

If people are still arriving, take walk-up registrations before you finalize the field.

2. Finalize and publish matches

Once the field is settled, review and build the final brackets or matchup groups, then publish.

Publishing is the line between planning and running. Before it, changes are free. After it, changes are still possible, but they cost more. See the fix-it guides below for common repairs.

3. Run the mats

Three screens, three jobs, three different people:

• You run the Mat Control Center: load matches onto mats, set queue depth, keep every mat fed
• Each table runs Table Scoring: one device per mat, scoring the match in front of it
• The room watches the Bout Board: a display showing what is up next on each mat

Get the table crews signed in before the first match, not during it. See Add event staff and permissions and Recommended scoring hardware.

4. Watch the day, not the matches

Tournament Progress is where you see whether the event is on schedule: which divisions are moving, which mats are behind, what is left to wrestle.

A mat that has stopped producing results is the thing to catch early. The Mat Control Center guide covers what a stalled mat looks like.

5. When something changes

It will. All of these are routine, and all of them are easier if you have done them once on a practice event:

• Add a late wrestler after publishing
• Fix a duplicate wrestler or wrong weight class
• Change brackets after publishing matches
• Add an exhibition match or dual

6. Finish

When every match is scored, your results are complete: placements, team scores, and exports are on the event dashboard. Nothing needs to be closed out by hand.
