Run a one-day tournament on shared mats

In the simplest tournament, every division shares every mat. Each mat takes the next ready bout from one queue, so a mat that finishes early never sits idle.

Example: 8U, 10U, 12U, and 14U on Mats 1–6, bouts numbered from 1.

If you don’t need sessions, a featured finals mat, or your own start number, System-Managed Scheduling does this with one button. Use the steps below in Director Managed.

  1. On Match Publishing, choose Guided plan.
  2. Name this plan: name it All divisions and keep Session at 1, since the whole event runs as one session.
  3. Queues: in Queue 1, choose All next to Divisions, then All next to Mats.
  4. Stages (only if your brackets have medal bouts or pools): leave Finals run separately off to keep finals in the main queue.
  5. Numbering: keep One sequence for this plan and Start at 1.
  6. Review: choose Save plan.

After weigh-ins, choose Run… on All divisions.

  1. Brackets: if brackets aren’t built yet, choose Build N brackets, then Build matches & continue.
  2. Bout numbers and Queue fill in on their own.
  3. Mats: Mats 1–6 are ticked from your plan.
  4. Choose Load N bouts.

Each mat now shows its first bouts, and the rest wait in the queue. As bouts finish, mats refill from the queue. Watch it in the Mat Control Center.

The plan covers divisions, so a bracket added later to 10U joins it on the next Run. A new division doesn’t: Run lists it under Not scheduled yet. Open Edit plan… from the plan’s ⋮ menu, add the division, and run again.
