Someone always shows up who is not on the list. Snapdown lets you add them at the table, record how they paid, and get them into a bracket without touching your online registration setup.
The whole flow lives on the Registrations tab of your event. That tab only appears on events with registration turned on. If your event does not use registration, skip to Events that never opened registration.
Add the entry
On Registrations, use Add Manual in the toolbar.
Fill in the wrestler the same way you would any entry: name, date of birth, gender, grade, and USAW ID if you collect it. Every entry needs a current weight, a team, and a division. Pick an existing team or create it right there. If the selected division uses Fixed weight classes, a weight class is required too. An Automatic division does not show that picker.
Getting the division right at the table matters more than anything else on this screen. It is what decides which bracket the wrestler can land in later.
Record how they paid
The Payment block on the same form is where the money is recorded. Registration Type drives the rest:

Payment Method is how the money arrived: Cash, Check, External, Comp, or None. Note is free text and is worth using. “Paid coach Ramirez, envelope 4” is what makes reconciliation possible three weeks later.
Use Pay at Door when you are letting someone wrestle before the money is settled. That is the case the next section exists for.
Mark a pay-at-door entry paid
When the money arrives, open the entry’s three-dot menu on the Registrations list and choose Correct Details. The Offline Payment section holds three fields: Status (Not set, Not required, Unpaid, or Paid), Method (Cash, Check, External, Comp, or None), and Amount ($).
Set Status to Paid, confirm the amount, and save. The entry’s payment summary on the Registrations list updates immediately.
A blank field means “leave this alone.” Clearing the amount box does not zero the
amount out, it keeps whatever was already stored. To record an amount of zero,
type 0.
This works on any active entry, not just ones you created at the door.
Door money on an entry that already paid by card
An online entry that paid through Snapdown checkout keeps its card record permanently. On those entries the Method selector is hidden and cannot be changed, so the record of how the card payment arrived is never overwritten.
Status and Amount are still editable there. That is how you record extra money collected at the door without disturbing the card payment, which comes up when a coach registered the whole team and one wrestler still owes an individual fee.
Get them into the tournament
A registration is not a roster spot. Adding the entry does not put anyone on a mat. Three more things have to happen:
- Import registrations into the event roster with Sync to Event on the Registrations toolbar. The badge on that button counts entries not yet imported.
- Weigh the wrestler in on the Weigh-ins screen.
- Place them in a bracket. After weigh-in they appear under Unassigned Wrestlers on the Brackets screen. If brackets are already published, follow How do I add a late wrestler after publishing?
If you correct an entry that has already been imported, the edit form offers Update event roster now if safe. That checkbox is refused when the wrestler has been weighed in, bracketed, or matched. At that point the roster row is feeding live competition and Snapdown will not rewrite it underneath you. Save the registration without it and fix the roster side directly.
What offline money does and does not do
Offline payment fields are a record for your own reconciliation. Snapdown is not processing this money on your behalf. No card is charged and no payout is created, because the cash is already in your hand.
Two consequences are worth knowing before your first cash-heavy event:
- Offline money cannot be refunded through Snapdown. Refunds only exist for money that came through Snapdown checkout. See Refunds and cancellations.
- It is not counted in the “net” figure on the Registrations toolbar. That number is Snapdown checkout revenue only, so a day of cash entries will not move it.
The platform fee still applies. Every active entry is billed at the same per-entry rate however it arrived, walk-ups included. See How registration payouts work.
Events that never opened registration
Plenty of events import a roster and never take online entries. Those events have no Registrations tab, and a walk-up is added straight to the roster from the Roster tab instead. See Add wrestlers to a standalone event.
There is no payment tracking on that path, because the roster has no concept of an entry fee. Track door money outside Snapdown, or turn registration on for the event if you want the payment record.
