Manage event teams and coach roster access

An event team has its own competition roster. The event’s Roster → Teams view is where a director manages that team’s roster access and status. These coach permissions are scoped to the team roster; they do not give someone full event administration or table-scoring access.

For a team-entry event, open Event Configuration → Registration. Set the registration status and dates, then save a Default team price. You can set a price for a particular division, and an optional Roster limit for all registered teams. When several custom divisions are offered, give each a short code so their team names stay distinct. Choose whether card processing is added at checkout or included in the listed price.

Review any team attestation, purchaser cancellation policy, and notification setting before opening registration. Each division team gets its own entry, payment, and roster. See Set up online registration for the shared opening and payout decisions.

Use Edit roster access to allow coaches to manage their own event teams and set the event-wide Coaches can edit rosters until deadline. Coach roster access is required while team registration is enabled.

For a particular team, choose Manage. Under Roster managers, enter a coach’s email and choose Grant access. Snapdown can invite someone who does not yet have an account. The same panel shows active and pending access and lets you Revoke a manager. A coach with access can add, import, edit, and remove wrestlers on that team roster.

Set a Team-specific deadline only when this team needs an exception to the event deadline. Lock roster stops edits immediately; Reopen roster allows them again when the other access rules permit it. The team’s status shows In progress, Ready, or Locked. A coach’s Mark ready signals that the roster is ready for director review, but does not lock it. Editing clears that ready status.

Review the team’s actual wrestlers before weigh-ins and brackets. The coach’s event roster and the paid team registration are connected, but registering the team alone does not fill its lineup. See Register a team and manage its event roster.

Use Add team when attendance was arranged outside Snapdown and the team needs an event roster. An event-only team belongs to this event. A league team’s permanent name and season roster are managed in the league instead.

If two event-only teams represent the same team, use that team’s menu and choose Merge teams. Choose which team remains, then review the number of wrestlers and registrations that will move before confirming. The source team is removed. The merge can be blocked by a team registration or payment, coach access, roster settings, started matches, or conflicting brackets. Resolve the reported condition before trying again. Do not merge two separately paid division teams to combine their rosters.

For a one-event change to how league wrestlers are grouped, see Select wrestlers for a league event.

For a team-registration event, Registrations → Teams shows the team entries and their payment status. Roster → Teams is for lineups and coach access. See Set up online registration for the signup window and team pricing.
