Your payout profile is where Snapdown sends your proceeds. Setup runs through Stripe, takes about five minutes, and asks for identity verification and a bank account. Since Snapdown processes the payments, none of the card-processing or merchant underwriting paperwork lands on you.
Connecting
- In the app, open Payments from your billing profile and choose Connect with Stripe.
- Stripe walks you through identity verification and your bank details.
- When it finishes, your event’s Billing tab shows the payout account as ready.
You don’t have to do this before opening registration
Registration works the moment a payout profile is linked to your event, and Stripe setup can be finished any time before your first payout. Parents can register and pay while you’re still getting to it. Your Billing tab shows the amount waiting.
Managing your account
The View payouts & tax forms button on your Billing tab opens your Stripe Express dashboard. That’s where you see every payout Snapdown has sent and its bank deposit status, update your bank account, and download your 1099 tax form each January if your payouts require one.
Who should own the payout profile?
Whoever is authorized to receive money for the organization: a club treasurer, a board member, or the director personally for an independently run event. Whoever connects Stripe is the person who verifies identity and receives the tax form.
